Christina, I love the name of your blog. Any kind of "thinking out loud" in public does call for bravery. Also, having "the deep" in your title implies the better, higher choice than what so much of our crammed curricula leads to: skimming the surface. Ann, you are right... a historical figure or a "character voice" would work too. A lot of different ways to use Animoto. Our social studies teacher had grade 8 students do Photostory projects with historical US figures (John Adams, etc.). They got to present them to the class too. Time to work on some presentation skills next I think! :)

A great curriculum tie-in would be for students to create a 6 word memoir in the voice of a character from a story they have read, or a historical figure connected to social studies (or perhaps even math/science for older students).

Thanks for sharing your journey here and on Twitter! I found some great resources from your tweets and the post above. I've had a Blogger blog for several months and tried a few things with it, but never settled on anything more than a basic template. Your resources helped me find a new template and do a little hacking on it. It will be fun to watch your blog evolve! :-)

I was looking at your blog and trying to figure out why you don't have your title on the individual post pages. The only thing I see is that your template does not have a title. Could that be the problem?? Check out your settings (basic)and make sure your title is listed there. Good luck!
